BANJO My David Payne Designed *Snapper Boat*

She took Sharry and myself 3+ years to build in the back garden.

BANJO was built under a plastic cover in the garden, using re-cycled timber from demolition sites and other places and is a mixture of Hoop Pine, Australian Red Cedar and Oregon. The main fixative is epoxy resin and the hull is enclosed, inside and out, with fibreglass cloth. Very few nails or other fastenings were used as the epoxy resin is stronger than the timber itself. I designed most of the bronze fittings and Banjo is powered by a 7hp single cylindered Simplex 4 stroke motor. For more details on both of us go to >

THEADORA

This is the Bristol Channel Pilot Cutter that was my introduction to sailing. She was built as a working boat *KINDLY LIGHT* and was then turned into a gentlemans yacht and re-christened *THEADORA*.   Later she was purchased for restoration to her original working boat configureation and reverted back to *KINDLY LIGHT*.

SPIRIT OF EAGLEBY

For some time now I have, with my partner Barry Wicks, been building and supplying wooden fishing boats to the people of East Timor as a gift from the people of Australia. This boat was built by me and sponsored by the people of EAGLEBY in South East Queensland. Full details of the program may be found at
